Unit 4 Board of Education Approves Two Administrative Appointments
The Unit 4 Board of Education approved two administrative appointments during its April 24th meeting.
Ms. Emily Dupuis was approved as the Assistant Director of Food Service. She began her professional career as a Clinical Dietitian in 2015 with Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, IL. In September 2016, Emily joined Harvest Market in Champaign as a Registered Dietitian. She will leave this position to become the Assistant Director of Food Service.
Emily has other related experience that includes, Dietetic Intern with OSF Medical Center, Instructor with Eastern Illinois University, as well as non-managerial food service experience at Memorial Hospital Food Service, Panera Bread, Cakes on Walnut/Cream & Flutter, and Jackson Ave. Coffee.
Ms. Dupuis holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences (2014) and a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics (2015), both from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL.
Ms. Samantha Turner was approved as the principal of Dr. Howard Elementary Elementary School. Ms. Turner began her career in education with Unit 4 Schools serving as a 2nd Grade Teacher at Dr. Howard for the school terms of 2016-2017 and 2017-2018. In August 2018, she joined Mahomet Seymour School District as a 2nd Grade Teacher. She held this position for two years before rejoining Unit 4 in 2020 in her first role as a school administrator as Assistant Principal/Summer School Principal at Garden Hills Academy. She will leave this position to become Principal of Dr. Howard Elementary.
Ms. Turner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Miami of Ohio University (2016). She earned her Masters of Science in Educational Policy, Organization and Leadership from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (2020).
