Champaign Unit 4 Schools is encouraging families to get their incoming Kindergartners registered for the 2023-2024 school year. The deadline is June 23rd. Online registration is available at www.champaignschools.org/sap. The registration guide is posted here.
In-person registration is available this month at the Center for Family and Community Engagement (Mellon):
Tuesday, June 6th, 2-6 p.m.
Thursday, June 8th, 2-6 p.m.
Tuesday, June 13th, 2-6 p.m.
Thursday, June 15th, 2-6 p.m.
Tuesday, June 20th, 9 a.m.-Noon
All Kindergarten students will need a current physical (within the first 30 days of school). Families can visit the Carle Mobile Clinic for school physicals and immunizations. The clinic will be at the following locations this summer from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
Church of the Living God (Love Corner); 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month
Salt & Light (Urbana); 2nd and 3rd Wednesdays of the month
Illinois Work Net Building; Every Thursday
Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church; Every Tuesday (11 a.m. to 4 p.m. only)
Before starting the registration process, families will need these important documents to better assist with Kindergarten registration:
REQUIRED: Child's Birth Certificate or Passport
Demonstrate proof of residency with two of the following documents:
Apartment/house lease or home purchase agreement
Mortgage documents/property deed payment record/building permit (60 days occupancy)
Voter's registration card
Current driver's license
Utility bill (current month)
