A message from Superintendent Boozer
Welcome Back Unit 4 Students and Families!
I am filled with enthusiasm for the 2023-2024 school year! I look forward to welcoming your student back to school this month (August 14th: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and Freshmen; August 15th: 7th, 8th, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors; August 21st: Pre-K). Please refer to information from your child’s school regarding which date your Kindergarten student starts school.
Our staff has worked tirelessly to prepare for the return of more than 10,000 students in 19 school buildings that will serve as welcoming, dynamic and safe learning hubs. Our mission is to positively transform learning and life outcomes for students through educational justice, equity and excellence.
We are pleased to welcome new leaders to several of our schools including the Champaign Early Childhood Center, Dr. Howard Elementary, Robeson Elementary, Jefferson Middle School, Franklin STEAM Academy and Centennial High School. These new leaders look forward to the opportunity to work alongside you in your student’s education journey. Please stop by to say hello and get to know your principal.
I look forward to experiencing joyful moments in our classrooms and at academic celebrations, musicals, plays and sporting events. Let’s work together to ensure a successful school year for all of our students!
