Champaign Unit 4 School District

Students at Franklin Middle School learned about and created their own Papel Picado, a Hispanic folk art tradition used to beautify and celebrate important holidays and milestones. Hosted by Dr. Amanda Gray from Unit 4's Family and Community Engagement, this was not only a fun and interactive learning experience but also used to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and decorate for Franklin's annual Block Party.
