Summative Designations

Edison and Jefferson Middle Schools were recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) for increasing their summative designations! Summative designations help families and communities understand how well schools serve all students.

Edison Middle School showed increased math growth and proficiency; decreased chronic absenteeism; increased ELA growth for Multilingual and Black students; and for its AVID Demonstration Revalidation.

Jefferson Middle School showed an increase in math proficiency; an increase in ELA growth and proficiency; a decrease in chronic absenteeism; a top percentage nationally on growth mindset; the greatest increase in self-efficacy on Panorama data; and for their prep for the school’s AVID revalidation as a National Demonstration School.
