Ben Leeb, a sixteen year old sophomore French Horn player at Champaign Central High School, will perform at the 32nd Music for All National Festival, presented by Yamaha, as part of the prestigious Honor Band of America. This festival will take place in Indianapolis March 13-15.
The Music for All National Festival is home to two national ensembles, the Honor Band of America and the Jazz Band of America, which are both recognized as two of the top honor ensembles for young musicians in the nation, with a prestigious legacy and reputation for the highest level of excellence.
Students were chosen for these ensembles following a selective audition process. Ben Leeb is one of only 80 students from a national pool of auditionees to be selected to perform in an honor ensemble. Both groups are composed of individual students from across the country who come together to play in a once-in-a-lifetime performance. In addition, Ben was chosen to be the principal horn (first chair) amongst this elite group of musicians.
