Dear Kenwood Families,
Happy Friday! We were excited to see all of our families during the parent teacher conferences before spring break and we were eager to share the progress of our students. We hope you had a great spring break with your family. We were excited to welcome back our students as we began our 4th quarter. This past week, our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students began writing the Illinois Assessment of Readiness in English Language Arts and Math. These state assessments are given annually in the Spring to determine the yearly progress of our students with results released in the fall for parents. As we begin to think about the coming year an important reminder to complete your children(s) registration for the fall.
Kindergarten and Returning Student Registration (Feb. 27th through May 30th)
Kindergarten students registration will take place at the Family and Community Engagement, 703 S. New St. Families can call 217-373-7311 to schedule an appointment.
Next Friday, March 29th is a district Spring holiday and all district schools will be closed.
