Dear Kenwood Families,
Happy Friday! Hope you’ve had a great week. This week our Functional Life Skills class was able to participate in the Buddy Walk which promotes acceptance and inclusion of people with Down's syndrome. We have several field trips coming up in May. I have had some parents inquire about the last day of school. Our last day of school will be May 30th. We have scheduled for a school carnival on this day with our students. Our 5th grade students will be also recognized on May 29th at a recognition ceremony at 12:00pm and we invite parents to celebrate our 5th grade students.

Jefferson Middle school will be hosting an open house for incoming 6th grade students on May 2nd from 6 to 7pm. Feel free to attend for a chance to tour the school and meet staff.
Kindergarten and Returning Student Registration (Feb. 27th through May 30th)
Kindergarten students register at the Family and Community Engagement, 703 S. New Street call 217-373-7311 to schedule an appointment.
