Dear Kenwood Families,
Happy Friday! This past week we celebrated our teachers during Teacher Appreciation week. Thank you to our Kenwood PTA for providing an amazing lunch on Monday and the special gifts, cards and flowers during this week. We are thankful for our teaching staff and their dedication to our students.This past week, our 5th grade students were fortunate to visit Chicago and take in the musical Mamma Mia on Broadway. This was an amazing experience for our students. Thanks to Ms. Kuchenbrod for organizing this trip for our students and for also writing grants to make this trip a possibility.
Just a reminder that our doors do not open until 7:40am and as such students need to be supervised outside before that time. We have recently had some unsafe situations with students prior to our doors opening. If you could be sure to supervise your children until that time we would greatly appreciate it for the safety of our students.
Just a reminder that we are inviting our 2nd and 3rd grade parents to join your child during their lunch time today.
2nd Grade lunch: 12:20 - 12:40pm
3rd lunch: 11:55 - 12:15pm

5th Grade Promotion, May 29th @ 12:00pm
On May 29th, we will be recognizing our 5th grade students for their promotion to middle school. We will have our ceremony at 12:00pm at Kenwood.
Kindergarten and Returning Student Registration (Feb. 27th through May 30th)
If you have not done so please be sure to register your students for class. Kindergarten students register at the Family and Community Engagement, 703 S. New Street call 217-373-7311 to schedule an appointment.
