Dear Kenwood Families,
Happy Friday! This past week has been a celebration of Computer Science Education Week (CS Ed Week) at Kenwood. We celebrated CS Ed week through a number of activities and projects designed to demonstrate the importance of coding, robotics and computational thinking. This week, you should have seen your students bringing lego blocks home that demonstrated the binary coding of their initials. Students were also working on a school wide algorithm that created a large message in our cafeteria. Students participated in the Hour of Code project where they continued to learn programming through block coding. Finally, students were all able to visit our enrichment room and learn how to code a variety of robots.A huge thanks to our Technology committee that helped to coordinate all of these engaging activities for our students. Thanks to all of our Kindergarten and 1st grade families who participated in our Grade level night this past Monday.
Early Dismissal on Dec. 19th and 20th @ 2:20pm
Next Thursday and Friday students will be dismissed at 2:20pm from school.
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Dr. Trevor Nadrozny
Principal
