While working for the Champaign Police Department, Brandon has become a Crisis Intervention Officer, a Crime Scene Technician, and a School Resource Officer. As of March 2024, Brandon retired from the United States Army Reserves after being enlisted for fifteen years. Brandon originally enlisted as a Military Police Officer and later deployed to Afghanistan.
