Meet Mrs. Addie Williams. Mrs. Williams worked at Unit 4 Schools for over 30 years, retiring in 2019. She now serves the students of the District as a Volunteer Foster Grandparent for the LIFT program. We salute Mrs. Williams for her continued commitment to Unit 4 students and families!
Today for #BlackHistoryMonth Novak Academy hosted a gallery walk. Students displayed and presented their artwork celebrating Black History. Students also helped prepare traditional African American foods for their catered lunch.
Due to the weather forecast, Kindergarten Night at Booker T. Washington Academy has been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 29th. (6-7:30 pm).
Also Note: Registration has moved to Feb. 29th for Kindergarten, New and Returning Families.

C-UPHD, Parkland College Dental Hygiene Clinic and Illini District Dental Society are hosting a free dental clinic for kids on February 10th, 2024 at Parkland College. This is a great opportunity to get the state-required dental exam!
Congrats to Nevaeh Gregory on their 1st place finish at the Special Olympics basketball competition! Trenton Nelson came home with a 2nd place medal, both students representing the FLS classroom at Edison. A special thanks to all the families and staff who made this possible.
This afternoon, the Edison Jazz Band performed with Tony Award-winning composer, Bryan Carter. This was a great experience for band members and the students really got into the performance!
